We waited patiently all summer for this trip and were very excited to finally get out of town for a while. Also, we had the realization that this would be our last vacation before our daughter arrives in November.
I took some time off work and Scott decided to skip a days worth of classes, and we headed to Sunriver on Thursday. The drive is about 5 and 1/2 hours of very boring terrain. Unfortunately, the night before we left was not a great one for Scott. He didn't sleep a wink. Scott pulled his first all nighter of the semester in order to get all his homework done before we left. This meant that I would do all the driving on Thursday as it was probably not safe to have him take the wheel on no sleep.
We arrived in Sunriver at at 5:30 pm. The house we rented was perfect with a very nice living room, large deck, hot tub and great adult bikes for us to use while we were there. That night we went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant and called it an early night.

We had a great time in Sunriver. It is one of our favorite spots to vacation. We floated the Deschutes River, went for a few bike rides (yes, I was able to ride a bike with very little issues!), played miniature golf (#1 Dad, #2 Me, #3 Mom and last, but not least, Scott), watched the Boise State game (Go Broncos!) and relaxed by the North Pool.

It was great to get a away for a while and enjoy some fun activities. We are looking forward to keeping up this yearly vacation and enjoying it with a 9 month old next year! I hope everyone else had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
